Cllr Cunniffe is a married father of two girls, is committed to bringing a fresh, common-sense approach to pressing local issues, especially in housing, health, and rural job creation. Shaun believes a very important part of a Councillor’s role is to work with and alongside voluntary groups, linking with the county council and other state organisations to drive progress. He is a strong advocate for sporting and community facilities and believes success should be measured by the quality of our lives, not just economic data.

Shaun highlighted the importance of local employment opportunities in his campaign. "Having had the experience of emigration myself, I understand the crucial importance of creating sustainable local jobs. We need sensible policies that not only boost our economy but ensure that our citizens do not have to leave their homes to find good work"
