General Election Candidate Dublin South Central

Rebecca Hendrick Confirmed as Independent Ireland Candidate for Dublin South Central in Upcoming General Election

Independent Ireland is proud to announce the candidacy of Rebecca Hendrick for the Dublin South Central constituency in the upcoming general election. Rebecca, a dedicated community advocate and volunteer, brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities and a strong commitment to fighting for better opportunities for all.

Michael Collins TD, leader of Independent Ireland, praised Rebecca’s hard work and dedication:
"Rebecca has been a fantastic addition to the party since the local elections. She works tirelessly to help the people of the Crumlin and Drimnagh regions and has been ever-present in her support of our Dublin councillors. We are delighted to announce her candidacy today."

Rebecca’s background and life experience have shaped her commitment to ensuring that others from disadvantaged communities have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
"I grew up in a disadvantaged community where I witnessed firsthand the effects of limited resources, poor education, and lack of support on people’s lives. I’ve experienced the first hand the  devastating effects of being raised in an underprivileged area and the effects on families of incarceration and untimely deaths, and I understand the toll this takes on families and mental health. For a long time, I believed my worth was tied to where I came from, but I refused to let that define me," Rebecca said.

Rebecca’s journey is one of determination and hope. She returned to college later in life, showing that people are not limited by their backgrounds but by the opportunities they are given.
"I’m committed to ensuring that others in similar situations have the resources and support to achieve their full potential. As a boxing coach and community volunteer, I work with young people and those with additional needs, guiding them toward positive paths and helping them see their limitless potential," she added.

Richard O'Donoghue, General Secretary of Independent Ireland, welcomed Rebecca’s candidacy and the positive impact she will have in Dublin South Central:
"Rebecca’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and empathy. She understands the struggles people face every day, and she’s ready to be a voice for those who feel unheard. Independent Ireland is honored to have Rebecca representing us in this key constituency."

Rebecca’s campaign will focus on the urgent issues affecting her community, such as access to quality education, mental health support, and social resources.
"Our communities have been ignored for too long. I want to bring the issues that matter to us—access to resources, quality education, and mental health support—to the forefront. Every person, no matter where they come from, deserves a fair chance at a better future," Rebecca concluded.

Rebecca Hendrick’s candidacy represents a fresh, empathetic, and determined voice for change in Dublin South Central, and Independent Ireland is confident she will deliver for the people of the area.
