Athlone councillor Paul Hogan was returned to Westmeath Co. Council in the 2024 local elections having served the people of Westmeath since 2004.

A native of Retreat Park, Cllr Paul Hogan has been deeply involved in local politics since his election to Athlone Town Council in 2004. Over the years, he has tirelessly represented the interests of his constituents, advocating for their needs and concerns.

Paul has emphasized the disconnect between the main political parties and the people, citing his advocacy for a No/No vote in recent referenda on family and care issues as evidence of his commitment to representing the views of his constituents.
