Independent Ireland Inaugural Think-In to take place this Saturday 24th August in Raheen, Co. Limerick

Independent Ireland is proud to announce its inaugural Think-In, taking place this weekend, in Limerick. This significant event marks the first of many milestones as we lay the foundation for a new era of Irish politics. All elected members of Independent Ireland will be in attendance as we come together to shape the future of our party.

A key highlight of the conference will be the introduction of the first of our general election candidates. These individuals embody the values and vision of Independent Ireland, ready to lead with integrity and deliver common sense solutions for the challenges our nation faces. Following the conference, we will also be unveiling our comprehensive general election manifesto, outlining our strategic policies designed to address the multiple crises affecting the people of Ireland.

Key Manifesto Highlights:

  • Healthcare: Our policy focuses on attracting and retaining healthcare professionals, reducing waiting lists, and ensuring easier access to care for all. We are committed to rebuilding a healthcare system that works for everyone.

  • Housing: We will tackle the housing crisis head-on with a commitment to provide affordable homes for "Generation Rent" and a clear goal of ending the tragic reality of children living in emergency accommodation within the next government's term.

  • Cost of Living: Independent Ireland is dedicated to easing the burden on hardworking families. Our approach includes freezing and reforming carbon and green taxes while introducing new solutions that reward those who contribute to the economy.

  • Immigration: We recognize the urgent need to address Ireland's immigration crisis. Our manifesto includes plans for emergency immigration legislation, securing our borders, extending court sittings to expedite illegal immigration cases, and fixing a broken system.

  • Law and Order: We will introduce harsher sentencing for violent and sexual crimes, attract and retain more Gardaí with innovative accommodation solutions, and deliver safer cities and safer rural communities.

  • Farming, Fisheries, and Rural Ireland: Independent Ireland is committed to increasing support for farming and agriculture. We will implement new schemes and support for Irish farmers and work to renegotiate quotas for Irish fishing vessels while boosting support for fishermen.

Leader's Statement:

Michael Collins, Leader of Independent Ireland, stated, "Our party is ready to bring common sense back to Irish politics. The challenges we face today require bold and decisive action. This conference is the first step in offering the people of Ireland solutions that will improve their lives. We are committed to delivering policies that make a difference, from healthcare and housing to cost of living, immigration, law and order, and supporting our rural communities. The people deserve better, and Independent Ireland is here to deliver."

This Saturday’s conference in Limerick promises to be a pivotal moment for our party. We invite members of the media to join us as we take the first steps towards a brighter, more prosperous future for Ireland.
