Nadaline Webster

General Election Candidate for South Tipperary

Nadaline Webster Confirmed as Independent Ireland Candidate for South Tipp in Upcoming General Election

Independent Ireland is proud to announce the candidacy of Nadaline Webster for South Tipperary in the upcoming general election. Nadaline is a marketing and strategy consultant in the legal technology field with a focus on intellectual property law, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the issues affecting rural Ireland.

With over a decade of experience in helping start-ups grow from early funding stages to equity events, Nadaline is no stranger to tackling challenges head-on. “I’ve been very fortunate to be part of two fantastic teams that brought two different companies all the way from early funding to equity event over the last 10 years, and I’m very proud of that track record,” Webster stated.

Hailing from a farming background, Nadaline Webster is a strong advocate for farmers. She recently authored a book in 2023 that explores the flaws in the methodology used to calculate methane emissions from livestock and the unfair penalties levied on farmers as a result. “Farmers should be measured accurately and shouldn’t be punished for harm they aren’t doing, but it’s difficult to gain any traction with a government that’s not interested in whether they are treating people fairly or not,” Webster said.

Webster highlights the larger issues at stake, noting that the decisions being made about the agricultural sector will affect food security, energy, transport, and ultimately, the rural way of life. “The government’s coercive tactics to force farmers to reduce emissions for multiple sectors is deeply concerning. The consequences will reverberate far beyond agriculture, and anyone who cares about fundamental rights should be paying attention.”

However, Webster’s platform extends far beyond agricultural reform. She has identified seven key issues that underpin all aspects of society and aims to address them head-on if elected.

Webster's Platform Focus:

  1. Representative Democracy
“For society to function well, we must have consensus on major decisions. Ireland is no exception,” Webster emphasised.

  2. Efficiency and Accountability in Spending
By driving efficiency in government spending, Nadaline believes the cost of living can be substantially reduced.

  3. Adequate Planning & Infrastructure
“Ireland deserves policies supported by real planning and infrastructure,” she stated, stressing the need for intelligent policy planning to improve all aspects of Irish life.

  4. Equal Treatment and Voice for all Groups
“We must ensure all groups have an equal opportunity to raise concerns and be heard,” Webster said, advocating for fairness across the board.

  5. Evidence-Based Policy Decisions
Nadaline champions the need for independent research and accurate data to inform government decisions.

  6. Rational, Adult Conversations on Difficult Topics
“We need to create spaces for rational conversations, especially on contentious issues. That’s the only way we can find equitable solutions,” she said.

  7. Defending Fundamental Rights
Webster is committed to protecting fundamental rights like freedom of speech and private property ownership.

Webster’s dedication to her rural roots shines through in her commitment to country pursuits, water quality, biodiversity, and environmental protection. "Our rural heritage is an irreplaceable part of our identity, and I will fight to ensure it remains protected," she added.
