Cllr Linda de Courcy

Clondalkin

Cllr Linda de Courcy

Cllr Linda de Courcy was elected to South Dublin County Council in 2024 as a first time candidate for Independent Ireland. Linda is a dedicated resident of Clondalkin, with a strong background in health and wellness, Linda brings a wealth of experience and a passion for delivering change in local government.

Cllr de Courcy has been self-employed as a Pilates Instructor since 2006 and a Nutritional Therapist since 2008 (acquiring her Masters in Personalised Nutrition in 2017), following a career in corporate training. Her decision to enter politics stems from a desire to address the pressing issues facing her community and to advocate for positive change. Linda has been particularly vocal about the recent plans by South Dublin County Council to pedestrianise parts of the village, which she believes will negatively impact residents and increase travel times unnecessarily.

In addition to addressing local concerns such as housing, traffic, and safety, Cllr de Courcy is also passionate about broader national issues. She advocates for supporting Irish industries like agriculture and tourism, reopening hotels to boost the economy, and ensuring energy security. Linda is committed to opposing unnecessary taxes, reducing dependence on the state, and reforming the healthcare system to better serve the needs of the community. Linda has major concerns about the Immigration crisis, the current government policies and the negative impact of immigration on communities all over Ireland.
