Cllr O’Donoghue was the first of two councillors elected in the Adare Rathkeale LEA in 2024. Married with 3 children, John has worked tirelessly for the people of Limerick county since being co-opted onto Limerick Co. Council following his brother Richard's election to Dail Eireann in 2020.  

John is a busy farmer/agri contractor and is a strong advocate for the farming community having spent all of his life working in the farming sector, coming from a family that has farmed the land for generations.
