Ireland’s healthcare system has been in decline for decades. Endless waiting lists, trolley crises and overspend along with a lack of accountability at government level for continued failures means urgent action is needed.

We will prioritise funding and new initiatives across all health care settings. We will focus on developing early intervention across such settings and reduce waiting times to access care. Ireland is facing a mental health crisis, we need to prioritise timely access to mental health intervention for all, with focus on mental health prevention and early intervention and investigate new treatment modalities within this area that are not only pharmacological but holistic to make treatment options more inclusive for all.

Ireland has one of the most well funded health services in the world yet waste and overspend continues - with zero accountability. Independent Ireland will work to provide practical and deliverable solutions to the failures of successive governments.
