Having topped the poll in the Bantry Electoral Area during the 2019 and again in the 2024 elections, Cllr Collins has long been recognised for his exemplary leadership skills and passion for fostering positive change.

Hailing from Lowertown Schull, Mayor Collins embodies the spirit of Cork County, with a humble upbringing and a strong sense of community values. He is a man that has worked tirelessly and for the betterment of Cork County and its residents.

Reflecting on his journey and the inspiration behind his commitment to public service, Mayor Collins remarked, "My late mother, Patricia, instilled in me a passion for community service from a young age.
