Cllr Daniel Sexton was elected to Cork Co. Council as a first time candidate with Independent Ireland. Daniel has a deep commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the region, Daniel seeks to bring a fresh perspective and much-needed change to Cork Co. Council

Daniel has strong sense of community, having lived and attended secondary school in both Clonakilty and Dunmanway, Daniel has deep roots in the region and a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by its residents. For over 8 years, he has served customers across West Cork at John O’Driscoll Motor Factors in Skibbereen, gaining firsthand insight into the needs and concerns of the local community.

"I firmly believe that Irish politics is in dire need of change, a change that is long overdue," remarked Daniel Sexton. "The actions of the Irish government have left me deeply disheartened, especially regarding the significant mismanagement of finances, the failure to address crucial issues like housing, rural planning, and local infrastructure, and the alarming state of our healthcare system."
